I love the comparison you make between Tashlich on Rosh haShana and the burning of chametz on Pesach and your remark about Bal Tashchit (the subject of my thesis :-) ).<br />I always add the principle of Oshek/Fair Trade - the way we trat our workers and modern forms of slavery.
